This lesson confronts the often-avoided yet biblically significant doctrine of Hell. While modern culture minimizes or metaphorizes Hell, Scripture is clear and consistent in describing Hell as a literal, eternal place of judgment for those who reject God. From the Old Testament concept of Sheol to the New Testament teaching on Hades, Gehenna, and ultimately the Lake of Fire, the lesson traces the progression and gravity of Hell as revealed in God’s Word.

Hell is not a myth nor a metaphor for life’s hardships—it is a divine reality that underscores God’s justice. Jesus Himself spoke of it more than anyone else, describing it as a place of darkness, torment, and separation from God. The lesson reaffirms that God does not send people to Hell out of cruelty but respects their choice to reject His grace. The ultimate judgment awaits those whose names are not found written in the Book of Life.
